ABOUT

How Wide is the Web? is a webseries starring Zoë Klar & Kira Hesser, directed and filmed by Michelle Alexis Newman and written by the scholarly trolls of the Internet.

Since the Big Bang people have been posting eternal truths online. But has anyone ever actually read these posts? Three gorgeous women decided to bring them to life. An idea that should have been a podcast has turned into something they are actually proud of.

This series of short videos elevates the idea of “found object art” into the 21st (maybe even 22nd) century by using mixed media portrayals of actual internet posts. We endeavor to only illustrate posts that are genuine and have not clearly been written to be funny by internet desperados. Borrowing from the beautiful (and articulate) minds of Yahoo! Answers, Amazon reviews, casting breakdowns and craigslist, we have created an ongoing webseries interpreting the true meaning of these authors’ intentions.

We filmed, we jerked off a paper banana, we put a dildo on pedestal and miraculously, six months later, we have about 5 minutes of video footage. Enjoy.

In accordance with the laws of the internet, we want everyone to have a voice. So, if you would like your favorite strange internet post to be illustrated, contact us!
